Mother of All Garage Sales!
Long-term supporters may remember the great “garage sales” we had at our previous location. Unfortunately, we don’t have space at our current facility, which is wonderful in so many other ways. The next best thing – we’ll be at the Mother of All Garage Sales with all sorts of great stuff! MOAGS is April 1 (5 pm – 9 pm) and April 2 (8 am – 3 pm), at the Lancaster Event Center, 4100 N 84th St, Lincoln. Stop by and stock up on catnip sticks, purr pads, and many, many other great things you didn’t even know you needed!
Ways to Help
WE BELIEVE THAT CATS OF EVERY AGE, HEALTH CONDITION, AND TEMPERAMENT DESERVE A LOVING HOME. PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS MISSION.
DONATE
The Cat House is funded by donations and adoption fees. Adoption fees don’t even cover our vet bills, so we rely on donations to keep our doors open.
VOLUNTEER
The Cat House is staffed and managed by volunteers. With a wide variety of tasks available, there’s sure to be something that interests you and will suit your schedule.
SHOP AND DINE
You can help The Cat House at no cost to yourself, while doing things you do every day – shop, dine, and search.
WISH LIST
It takes a lot of supplies and equipment to care for the 150+ cats and kittens in our adoption and shelter facility and foster homes. See a list of some of them on our wish list.
Paw Pages Ad
The Lincoln Journal Star’s Neighborhood Extra section features a “Paws Pages” section each month. This is a great opportunity to showcase our cats in front of a large audience, but it’s not free – each advertisement costs $42 per month. Sponsoring one or more cat listings for a month or more would be a big help in finding them permanent homes. If you can sponsor a Paws Pages listing, please contact us.
Trap-Neuter-Return
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane method of population control to reduce the number of feral cats in the environment and improve the lives of existing cats and their human neighbors . It is a comprehensive, ongoing program in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians.
