Updated 3/27/20: Following social distancing guidance from local, state, and national authorities, The Cat House’s regular public hours of Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 – 8 and Sunday afternoons from 1:30 – 4 will be cancelled until early May, or until the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has rolled back current public gathering restrictions.
Approved adoption applicants may visit during those hours to finalize adoptions. We continue to accept adoption applications; actually, so many people are interested in adopting now that our adoption callers are very busy and may take a few days to get back to you (a good problem for us to have!). A limited number of visitors may be in our facility at any given time; visitors may be asked to remain in their cars until others have exited the building. Adoption applicants should contact their adoption interviewer or email adoptions@thecathouse.org to confirm plans.
