DESCRIPTION:The arts and crafts fair at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church is known as one of the best craft shows of the year.  Once again\, The Cat House will selling cat-tested and -approved catnip stick toys and cushy purr pads (also suitable for dogs!) at the craft show.  If you have any cats (or dogs) on your Christmas gift list\, this is a good opportunity to stock up on presents for them\, and support The Cat House at the same time. \nOf course\, there will be many other wonderful craft items for sale at the craft show.  Lunch will be available\, and you won’t want to miss the United Methodist Women’s bake sale\, either.

DESCRIPTION:Lincoln’s biggest day of giving is quickly approaching! For the past four years\, our friends and supporters have come together on Give to Lincoln Day to help us care for homeless cats and kittens. Give to Lincoln Day is on Thursday\, May 26\, 2016!. \nDuring this 24-hour event\, every donation made helps even more than usual because nonprofits receive a proportional share of a $300\,000 challenge match fund provided by the Lincoln Community Foundation and their sponsors.  In addition\, an online donor will be randomly selected every hour to have $300 added to his or her gift\, courtesy of West Gate Bank. \nDonations can be made all 24 hours of May 26th at thecathouse.org/give\, or in person at the Lincoln Community Foundation office\, 215 Centennial Mall South\, between 8 am and 5 pm.  If you’re going to be busy on May 26th\, donations can be scheduled in advance at thecathouse.org/give\, starting May 1.  If you want to make a donation by check\, but can’t get to the Lincoln Community Foundation office on May 26\, you can leave your check at The Cat House before May 26.  (Checks should be dated May 26\, and payable to Lincoln Community Foundation\, with “The Cat House” noted on the memo line.) \nDonations made through a donor-advised fund established at Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF) by May 18th will not have the 5.9% processing fee that is assessed on online and in-person donations deducted.  For more information about donor-advised funds\, contact LCF at 402-474-2345.
